The Surprise Shockers picked up a win at Alouettes Ballpark, knocking off the Capital Hill Interns, 3-1. On the mound for Surprise was right-hander Pete Johnson. He played a key role in the triumph. With the win, Surprise is 4-1.
The Shockers got a big at-bat from right fielder Jim Haynes. For the game, Haynes went 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Surprise a 2-0 lead.
