The Plattsburgh Puffer Fish beat the Fort Knox Centennial, 3-0, at Plattsburgh Park. Plattsburgh center fielder Mauro Moreno led the way. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. At 48-44, the Puffer Fish claim 5th place in the Premier Low A.

The Centennial had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Puffer Fish going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old third baseman Pedro López came to the plate. López hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch fastball from Fort Knox hurler Eugene Smith. It was López's 8th double of the year.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Moreno.
