The Germantown Uruguayans pinned a convincing loss on the Redwood Rhinos, 11-2, at The Zoo. Dave Otto was a main factor in the win. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for Germantown. The Uruguayans now have a record of 46-46 with the win over Redwood.
Germantown used the bat of Yin-tou Qiu to get the win. The right fielder spanked a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Uruguayans ahead, 7-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Germantown manager Greg Dixon.
