Cecil Cornett, who is tied for 8th in the PA- in wins with 8, was terrific for the Amarillo Warheads in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Tijuana Toros. His performance earned Cornett rave reviews. With this game in the books, Amarillo is 56-37, Tijuana 36-57.

Cornett's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 3 hits. Cornett, who is tied for 8th in the PA- in wins with 8, goes to 8-4 on the year with 95 strikeouts.
