The Ogallala Octopi picked up a win at Titans Ballpark, knocking off the Crowley Cajuns, 4-3. Starting pitcher Gabriel Soto played a key role in the triumph. Soto, the winner, moves to 7-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Ogallala, now 38-55, holds down 8th place in the Premier Low A.
Magnus van der Burg contributed to the Ogallala win with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
