|
Hudsonville Flanderses pitcher José Morales was in fine form, leading his team past the Fort Knox Centennial, 3-1. The winning pitcher was Morales, now 13-4. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 4. Cristóbal González notched his 33rd save in 35 chances.
Hudsonville took the lead, 2-1, on Matt Hughes's 8th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Fort Knox pitcher Tomás Erdozain in the bottom of the seventh.
"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Morales.
Hudsonville, at 57-37, is 3½ games up in the Premier Low A.
