Cajuns Collect 5-2 Win Over Uruguayans
|
The Crowley Cajuns defeated the Germantown Uruguayans, 5-2, in USPL Low A action at Ballpark of Albuquerque. Crowley pitcher Miguel Romero had a standout performance. Crowley is now 53-41, Germantown 35-59.
Crowley used the timely hitting of Matt Bowman to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Cajuns on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Romero.
