Liberty U-21 Suffer 6-1 Road Loss
|
The 6-1 Shady Side win over Philadelphia was due in large part to James M'Lady. The Zoomies first baseman went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Francis Richard picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Willis Thomas suffered the loss. The victory gives Shady Side a record of 50-44.
The Zoomies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Chris Fowler. For the game, Fowler was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 25th double of the season gave Shady Side a 2-0 lead.
