Hicksville turned a good performance from starting pitcher Finlay Midwinter into a 4-2 triumph over the Fort Knox Centennial in 10 innings at Hound Pound. Hicksville pitcher Ben Wells got the win. He's now 1-2. Rick Ernst was tagged with the loss. Hicksville is now 63-31, 7 games up in the Premier Low A.

The decisive blow was delivered by Chris Gillespie in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Rick Ernst to win the game for Hicksville. The home crowd went nuts.

"Finlay gave us everything he had," said Hicksville manager Art Manning.
