The Beaumont Crossbeaus did just enough to secure a victory over the Tulsa Otters, 3-2, in 10 innings at The Target. Nobody did more than pitcher Juan Velásquez. Beaumont is 40-54 and Tulsa, with the loss, 45-49.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Beaumont shortstop Tai Yen, facing Ramón Escobar, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Crossbeaus the 3-2 win.
"This joint was rocking," said Yen.
