Swanson Brings A-Game, Rhinos Beat Flanderses
|
The Redwood Rhinos used a great performance from Michael Swanson, who is tied for 10th in the PA- in quality starts with 11, to beat the Hudsonville Flanderses, 3-1, at The Zoo. Bob Morton earned the save for Redwood, his 21st of the year. After today's action, Redwood sits at 45-50; Hudsonville slips to 53-42.
Swanson earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Redwood. The native of Staten Island, New York, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. Hudsonville hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Swanson.
