Toros Notch 2-1 Win Versus Music
|
Tijuana Toros starter Bryan Massey turned in a sterling performance against the Memphis Music, leading his team to a slim, 2-1 win. Finley Keirl, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Yin-reng Guo closed it out for his 19th save.
Tijuana took a 2-1 lead on Rafael Villarroel's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Villarroel hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Memphis pitcher Carlos Hana visibly frustrated.
"Bryan was good -- real good," said Toros manager Milton Mathews.
The Toros now own a record of 37-58.
