Alouettes Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Capital Hill Interns and Northwest Territory Beavers.

The timely hitting of Bob Matthews helped the Northwest Territory Beavers down the Capital Hill Interns, 5-3. Matthews went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Beavers. Ed Fox earned the save for Northwest Territory, his 3rd.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when third baseman Júlio Manuel hit a triple. The Beavers went on to win.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Northwest Territory manager Robert Acker.

The defeat makes Capital Hill 1-5.
