The Philadelphia Liberty U-21 licked the Bethlehem Angel Kitties, 6-3. Shannon Fowler deserved a big chunk of the credit. The center fielder was 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Liberty U-21. The Liberty U-21, now 6-1, have hit the ground running this season.

Philadelphia grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Fowler hit a grand slam home run off Myron Carter. His 2nd home run of the season put the Liberty U-21 out in front, 6-2.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Fowler said.
