Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Billy Russell the Watford City Trash Pandas defeated the Amarillo Warheads, 7-1. The winner in relief was Juan Fuentes. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The loss puts Amarillo at 5-4.

With Watford City leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Russell batted against Amarillo pitcher Pepe García. Russell hit a fastball to left-center for a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season put the Trash Pandas on top, 3-1.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Amarillo skipper José López.
