Trash Pandas Use Late Rally to Win
The Watford City Trash Pandas spoiled a good performance by Amarillo center fielder Lee Spencer, bumping off Amarillo, 5-3, at Trash Panda Field. Spencer was 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The winner in relief was Guo-xiu Gai. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Poto Bagliani got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

Had Jim Lamb not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Lamb hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Trash Pandas.

"We were the better team," crowed Lamb.

The win gives the Trash Pandas a record of 3-6.
