The Surprise Shockers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Paco González into a win. Instead, the Tijuana Toros prevailed, 4-2. González threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Tijuana pitcher Clint Clifton got the win. He's now 1-0. José Gonzáles was tagged with the loss. The win takes Tijuana to 4-6.

Tijuana got a game-changing hit from Walt Paul. The left fielder blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Paul said.
