The Amarillo Warheads knocked off the Maine Sea Dogs, 3-1, at Ballpark of Henderson. Mario Ramos was a big reason Amarillo won. The shortstop went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Amarillo pitcher Vicente Rodríguez got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jeremy Clarke got the loss. José Valéncia recorded the save, his 4th.

Ramos contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Amarillo in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Ramos took a changeup from Jeremy Clarke and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Warheads to leap in front, 2-1.

"I felt good up there," said Ramos. "I saw the ball well."

Amarillo now has a record of 6-5.
