Bethlehem got a valiant performance from pitcher Myron Carter, but it wasn't enough to beat the Memphis Music. Memphis won the game, 3-2. Carter threw 8.1 innings allowing 1 run for the losing team. The loss drops Bethlehem to 5-7.
Memphis used the timely hitting of Peter Hart to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Music on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Hart, "one at-bat at a time."
