The Beaumont Crossbeaus knocked off the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 8-6, at Plattsburgh Park. Lúcio Sosa was a big reason Beaumont won. The center fielder belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Luis Quiñones picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Lou Bancroft suffered the loss. The Puffer Fish fall to 6-8 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2061 season.

Beaumont took the lead in the top of the seventh when Sosa hit a grand slam home run. His 5th home run of the season made the score 6-5, Beaumont.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Sosa.
