Watford City Tumbles Again, Falls, 3-0, to Surprise
|
Yakamochi Hirano pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Watford City Trash Pandas, despite Hirano's fine outing, dropped a 3-0 decision to the Surprise Shockers at Shockers Field. Bobby Griffin was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save. The Trash Pandas, now 3-11, continue their sluggish start.
Surprise took the lead, 3-0, on Dewitt Kennedy's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Watford City pitcher Alistair Beardsall in the bottom of the eighth.
"No one likes losing," said Watford City manager Dong-hwan Namgung. "But we'll turn this thing around."
