Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old shortstop Tomás Hernández, the Northwest Territory Beavers defeated the Tijuana Toros, 10-2. Bryan Ogle got the win, improving to 3-0. He held the Toros to 1 run on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The hot start continues for the defending champion Beavers. This was their 10th win in 14 games.

With Northwest Territory leading 7-1 in the bottom of the eighth, Hernández came up to bat against Tijuana pitcher Luis Medina. Hernández hit a changeup to left for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Beavers on top, 10-1.

"Nothing to write home about," Tijuana manager Milton Mathews said, when asked afterward about the game.
