Baby Lakers Claim 3-2 Win
|
Bompton picked up a win at Field of the Browns, bumping off the Amarillo Warheads, 3-2. Pitcher Luis Domínguez was a major reason the Baby Lakers emerged victorious. With the win, Bompton boosts its record to 10-4.
Bompton designated hitter Leo Murdoch helped the Baby Lakers go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Murdoch hit a run-scoring single off Amarillo pitcher Bob Foster.
"If we keep winning the close games," Domínguez said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
