The Tijuana Toros picked up a win at The Stage in Memphis, knocking off the Memphis Music, 5-4. On the mound for Tijuana was right-hander Doug Mahoney. He played a key role in the triumph. Mahoney got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 4 runs. Tijuana now has a record of 7-8.

Tijuana used the timely hitting of Kuang-an Won to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Toros on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Doug did what Doug does," said Tijuana manager Derek Jones.
