Warheads Suffer 5-3 Loss to Angel Kitties
|
Bethlehem starter Bob Dudley pitched well against the Amarillo Warheads at Kittie Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. The winner was Dudley. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Nelson Small. John Reed recorded the save for Bethlehem, his 4th of the season.
In the bottom of the fifth, Bethlehem second baseman Jon Edwards had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Amarillo hurler Bob Bradley, Edwards hit a sacrifice fly. That made the score 5-3, Bethlehem. For the day, Edwards was 1 for 3.
"Bob is good at sticking to his strengths," said Bethlehem manager Zach Stafford.
Bethlehem now has a record of 7-8.
