The Hudsonville Flanderses locked up a win at Beaver Town, knocking off the Northwest Territory Beavers, 4-1. On the mound for Hudsonville was right-hander Oscar Drenth. He played a major role in the triumph. Drenth, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. At 11-5, the Flanderses have played well so far.

Hudsonville took the lead, 3-1, on Terry Heathcote's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Northwest Territory pitcher Pepe Valentín in the top of the seventh.
