Beaumont second baseman Jian-guo Cuan had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Bompton Baby Lakers, 5-3. Raúl Sánchez picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-0 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 8 innings, while yielding 3 runs. Bompton, with the loss, is still a hardy 12-5.
Cuan had a timely hit for Beaumont in the bottom of the seventh. With Beaumont trailing 2-1, he turned a 2-2 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 5-2, Beaumont.
"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Cuan.
