Snowpeople Prevail, 5-3, Over Tijuana
|
The 5-3 Ellesmere Island win over Tijuana was due in large part to Larry Armstrong. The Snowpeople center fielder was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Balduíno Leomil was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. The Toros fall to 8-11 and continue their lackluster start in 2059.
Ellesmere Island grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Sun-dong Wang delivered a 2-run single, to make it 5-3, in favor of the Snowpeople.
