Gabriel Pérez never let Amarillo get something going. The Beaumont right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Crossbeaus to a 1-0 win. With the win, Beaumont goes to 13-8, while the Warheads fall to 10-11.

Beaumont used the clutch hitting of Iván Bautista to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Crossbeaus the lead, 1-0. For the game, Bautista had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Amarillo manager José López.
