Shockers Walk Off with 5-4 Win
The Surprise Shockers beat the Flint Crush, 5-4. Surprise pitcher and New York, native Pete Johnson led the way. Tommy Alderdice came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-2. Surprise bumps their record to 10-11 with the win.

William Blackwell played the role of hero for Surprise. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a solo home run off Xiao-mei Chia to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Johnson said.
