António Moreno knocked in 3 runs to help Watford City beat Bompton, 4-1. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native tallied 3 singles and 1 home run. Andy Holman picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Taikan Fujita was tagged with the loss. The save was Francisco Sánchez's, his 4th.
Moreno had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 fastball from Taikan Fujita, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Trash Pandas a 4-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Moreno.
"Nice to get this one," said Moreno. "We've been scuffling."
Watford City now sits at 5-16, while Bompton falls to 10-11.
