Dewitt Hernández knocked in 4 runs to help Amarillo beat Hicksville, 6-3. The Corpus Christi, Texas native tallied 1 single and 1 home run. José Valéncia earned the save for Amarillo, his 9th of the year. Amarillo raised its record to 14-11 with the win.

Hernández had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from Ryuichi Agano, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Warheads a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Hernández.

Hernández told the Amarillo Chronicle: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
