Ogallala turned a good performance from starting pitcher Tony Smith into a 3-1 triumph over the Flint Crush at Flint Park. Smith yielded 1 run over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-2.

Ogallala took the lead, 3-1, on Jiu-ling Dun's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Flint pitcher Corey Robinson in the top of the ninth.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Smith.

The 8th-place Octopi improved to 11-15.
