The Flint Crush overcame a big game from Watford City third baseman Tony Mendoza to pick up a win at Flint Park. The final score was 6-5, Flint, in 10 innings. Mendoza was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win went to Kane White in relief, making him now 1-1. Poto Bagliani took the loss for Watford City. Today's win puts Flint at 11-15, while Watford City falls to 9-17.
Billy Douglas played the role of hero for Flint. In the bottom of the tenth, he launched a 2-run home run off Poto Bagliani to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
"It was a test of wills," said Michael Woodard, the Flint skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
