The Philadelphia Liberty U-21 beat the Maine Sea Dogs, 7-0, at Ballpark of Liberty. Starting pitcher Bryan Miller was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The win puts Philadelphia at 18-10 this season.
In the bottom of the second inning of a 0-0 tie, Philadelphia right fielder Shannon Fowler reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 2 run3. It broke the deadlock and put Philadelphia on top, 2-0.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Miller.
