Shockers Go Down to Defeat, 3-1
|
Nathan Jesty pitched a gem to lead Bompton to victory over the Surprise Shockers, 3-1. Bompton's record now stands at 11-18, placing them 9th in the Silver Low A.
It could have been a different outcome for Bompton, had it not been for Barry Stephenson, the 21-year old second baseman . Stephenson contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Bompton up, 1-0.
Stephenson expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
