Amarillo turned a fine outing from starter Nelson Small into a victory over the Bethlehem Angel Kitties at Ballpark of Henderson. The final score was 5-1. Picking up the save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Craig Padilla. With the win, Amarillo raised its record to 16-14.

Early in the game, designated hitter Dewitt Hernández had a grand slam home run for Amarillo. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Warheads on top, 4-0.

"Nelson kept his poise and got the job done," said Amarillo manager José López. "He was outstanding."
