Maine pitcher Bill Hewlett had a large part in his team beating the Watford City Trash Pandas, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Maine reliever Haico Ulderink picked up the win to move to 1-2. Alistair Beardsall suffered the loss. Kwang-myeong Yi earned the save for Maine.

Maine third baseman Wayne Harris contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Sea Dogs ahead, 2-0.

"Bill gave us a heck of an effort," said Maine manager Pedro Hernández.

The Sea Dogs sport a record of 11-20.
