Beavers Top Express, 5-1
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers topped the Napanee Express, 5-1, in USSL Low A action at Paints Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Northwest Territory pitcher and Kapuvar, Hungary, native Visa Ojanen. Northwest Territory, at 14-18, occupies 8th place in the Silver Low A.
Northwest Territory used the bat of Tse-peng Wu to capture the win. The first baseman jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Beavers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Ojanen told the Northwest Territory Daily.
