The Napanee Express withstood an impressive performance by Northwest Territory first baseman Steven Williams to defeat the Beavers, 4-2, at Paints Ballpark. Williams went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Charles Edwards, now 3-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 4 innings. Christian Taylor closed the door for Napanee, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

Napanee took a 3-2 lead on Jay Welch's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Northwest Territory pitcher Jesús Paz in the bottom of the seventh.

"It feels good to get this one," Welch told the Napanee Daily.
