Jeff Hines knocked in 4 runs to help Colorado beat Detroit, 7-4. The Abilene, Kansas native tallied 2 singles and 1 home run. The winning pitcher was Mark McConnell. He tossed 91 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. Colorado now sports a record of 17-19.
Hines had a big hit for Colorado with two out in the bottom of the fourth. With Colorado leading 4-3, Hines hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Billy Goats up, 7-3.
