The Bompton Baby Lakers received a superlative performance from starting pitcher Leonard Sheppard, allowing them to bump off the Maine Sea Dogs, 4-1. Tommy Kramer earned the save, his 9th. The first-place Baby Lakers bumped their record to 26-10.

Regardless of the outcome, those who came to Field of the Browns for the USSL Low A contest enjoyed being there.

"Leonard was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Bompton manager Tyrone Poole.
