Warheads Edge Surprise in Pitching Duel
Amarillo turned a good effort from starter Juan Fernández into a win over the Surprise Shockers at Shockers Field. The final score was 1-0. The Warheads improved to 22-16.

Hunter Ayers's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 0-0. The Amarillo designated hitter hit a run-scoring single off Chris Bailey to put the Warheads up.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Fernández said.
