Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Quebec City Baby Blues home opener. Steve King started for the home team against Peyton Larson for the Napanee Express. The Baby Blues were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 3-1, Napanee. Steve King, though, was impressive. The winner in relief was Rostislav Komrskov. He is now 1-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. Scott Bates closed the door for Napanee, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Chuck Gray came through with a big-time hit for Napanee. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Gray called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
