Horton Shuts Out Moose Jaw, 7-0
Thursday, May 10th , 2063
Tom Horton kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the North Ft. Myers Gators were all smiles after winning, 7-0, against the Moose Jaw Canucks at Foresters Stadium. The left-handed Horton gave up no runs in his start, permitted 2 hits, and tallied 6 strikeouts.
"If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Horton said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be."

Clayman's Season Could be Over
Wednesday, May 9th , 2063
The season is apparently over for Flynn Clayman. The Napanee Express medical staff informed the club that the third baseman will be out at least 9 months with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Clayman was hurt in the game against Ellesmere Island while running the bases. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
For the season, Clayman has produced 10 hits in 31 at-bats for a .323 average with 1 home run and gotten on base at a .382 clip.

Ricardo Arroyo Injured, Out for Season

Ricardo Arroyo of the Baby Blues just might have to call it quits for the season. The 18-year-old Quebec City starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Capital Hill Interns recently at Dylan Park. Arroyo suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Baby Blues medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 8 months.
