Bethlehem Angel Kitties right-hander Darryl Nixon pitched a good game against the Beaumont Crossbeaus at Kittie Park, leading his team to victory, 5-4. Nixon yielded 3 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 11 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-3. The save was credited to John Reed, his 12th.

Bethlehem first baseman Felipe Hernández landed a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 3rd home run of the season. With it, the Angel Kitties took a 4-0 lead.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Hernández told the Bethlehem Daily.
