|
The Echo Park Lakers overcame a good performance by Las Vegas shortstop Matt Davis to knock off Las Vegas, 9-3, at The Strip. Davis went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Echo Park pitcher Bobby Monroe earned the win, hiking his record to 5-2. Steven Weaver suffered the loss. At 20-17, the Lakers claim 4th place in the Silver League.
Roy Blair, the Echo Park right fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to make the score 6-0, Lakers. For the game, Blair was 1 for 4, while adding 3 RBI.
