Shady Side right-hander Pete Costa helped his team edge Amarillo by the score of 3-2. Costa kept the opposing lineup in check. The Zoomies go to 22-20, putting them 5th in the Silver Low A.

Donald López was the walk-off hero for Shady Side. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Zoomies second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Pete had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Shady Side manager Ralph Gilbert.
