The 2062 season is off to a good start for the Greenport Harbor Whales. The hometown Harbor Whales dumped the Ballard Beavers, 7-3, at Ballpark of Robbins. Ricardo Díaz spearheaded the win. He was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Getting the save was Miguel Ortíz, his 1st.

Díaz had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 slider from Ed Alvarado, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Harbor Whales a 7-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Díaz.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Díaz told the Greenport Observer.
