Snowpeople Earn 3-2 Win Versus Interns
Crowds lined up early in front of The Igloo, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2061 M3L Low A season. On the mound was Francisco Torres for the visiting Capital Hill Interns and Ernest Pollard for the hometown Ellesmere Island Snowpeople. In a spirited contest, the Snowpeople pulled out the win, defeating the Interns by the score of 3-2. Especially impressive was Francisco Torres.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Ellesmere Island pinch hitter Zai-shuo Ou-yang, facing Scott Mitchell, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Snowpeople the 3-2 win.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Ou-yang told reporters after the game.
