The Surprise Shockers defeated the Ladue Rams, 2-1. Center Fielder Scott Potter deserved a large share of the credit. Potter was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs for the Shockers. The winner was Surprise reliever Juan Carlos Vargas, now 7-1. The loser was Daniel Watson. Surprise is in 4th place in the Silver Low A with a record of 25-18.

Juan Donato was the walk-off hero for Surprise. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shockers pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This place sure got loud," said Geoffroy Cadaloba, the Surprise manager.
