Zoomies Roll to 8-1 Win Over Angel Kitties
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties and Shady Side Zoomies were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Shady Side Zoomies starter Ray Mitrou had all his pitches working at Terriers Ballpark. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Shady Side win over the Bethlehem Angel Kitties. In 5.1 innings, Mitrou surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Aaron King sewed up the save, his 2nd.
Min-zhong Hong dealt the Angel Kitties a blow in the bottom of the eighth. Batting with the bases loaded and Shady Side leading 4-0, Hong hit a 1-1 fastball for a grand slam home run.
"We did a lot of things right," said Hong.
Shady Side is in 7th place in the Silver Low A with a record of 20-23.
