Puffer Fish Get Hard-Earned Win
Plattsburgh pitcher Rafael Rivas had a large part in his team beating the Philadelphia Liberty U-21, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Lou Anderson finished the game for Plattsburgh and earned his 4th save. Plattsburgh is in 4th place in the Silver Low A with a record of 25-20.

Plattsburgh used the timely hitting of Mark Thornber to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Thornber told the Plattsburgh Times.
