Behind a fine performance from Donald López, the Shady Side Zoomies knocked off the Bompton Baby Lakers, 12-1. López was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Zoomies. Shady Side is 5th in the Silver Low A with a record of 24-22.

The Baby Lakers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Zoomies going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old catcher Jorge Hernández came to the plate. Hernández hit a 2-run triple on a 2-1 fastball from Bompton hurler Koos Lodder. It was Hernández's 2nd triple of the year.

"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Tyrone Poole.
