Bompton Triumphs with Late Surge
Terriers Ballpark was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Bompton Baby Lakers picked up a win at Terriers Ballpark, dropping the Shady Side Zoomies, 2-0. Chris Martin, who is tied for 9th in the SA- with a 2.33 ERA, was the difference-maker. Zhi-jan Wu earned the save for Bompton.

Bompton used a timely hit from Will Ross to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Baby Lakers ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Ross.

The Baby Lakers now have a record of 23-24.
